My approach combines traditional counseling techniques with holistic modalities to create a personalized experience that honors your unique needs. With a background in psychology and a passion for integrative therapies, I’ve helped countless individuals uncover their inner strength and reclaim their peace.

Koren’s areas of expertise for individuals and couples include psychotherapy, heart-centered hypnotherapy, energy psychologies such as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Reiki, as well as spiritual counseling.
Passionate about assisting clients with recovery from trauma, and emotional, sexual and physical abuse, Koren helps people heal the psychosomatic issues that result from these and other life experiences. Such interconnected conditions include depression, anxiety and panic attacks, addictions, chronic pain, fears, phobias, eating disorders, body image issues and more.
Koren understands from years of her own personal growth work that talk therapy alone often does not lead to permanent behavioral change. When, however, the emotional source of a problem or disruptive pattern is uncovered and healed, the internal battle dissolves, and behaviors start to shift automatically and naturally.
Credentials
Koren is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who has been in private practice as a holistic therapist for more than 25 years. Her affiliation with ArborGate Associates, Inc.in Westlake, Ohio, began in 2007. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Kent State University’s Honors College, where she was a summa cum laude graduate and May 4 Scholarship award recipient. Koren also earned her Master of Education in counseling from Kent State.
She received her Advanced Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy (AHCH) certification from The Wellness Institute, one of the oldest, most respected providers of hypnotherapy training in the country. Koren is also a Licensed Personal Transformation Intensive Leader; PTI is another acclaimed Wellness Institute program. Additionally, she is an ordained minister with a certification in spiritual counseling from the New Seminary in New York City. Koren is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner as well.

I offer individual therapy for teenagers and adults as well as marriage therapy/couples counseling.

My area of specialty is trauma work and treating conditions that result from trauma such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, physical and health related conditions, body image issues and eating disorders. My clients often find that the mind body methods I use are more effective than talk therapy in leading to permanent healing and behavior change.

My fee is $225 for the initial 90 minute intake and $150 for 50 minute sessions.

I do not accept insurance but you can use your HSA or FSA if you have one. You can also ask your insurance company if they will cover some of the cost. Many insurance plans do offer out of network benefits.

I do not bill insurance for services. Payment is expected at the time of service. I can provide you with proof of service such as a billing statement/receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement.
